discontentJustice is nothing but a myth that helps people sleep at night. There is no magical sense of cosmic balance and rightness and fairness. It doesn't really exist. I wish it did.
A man kills countless people, some quickly, some torturously. There's no justice for that. It doesn't matter if you put a gun to his head and pull the trigger. He dies...so what? They're all still dead. Lives are still ruined, hearts are still broken. There's no restitution for that. You can only kill him once, unfortunately. Oh, I wish I could. I wish I could kill him over and over again.
But keep believing in it if you want. I hope it helps you sleep better at night. If you can tell yourself there's justice, that people get what they deserve in the end and life is fair, hey, have at it. Who am I to tell you differently?
